He has over 30 years of experience in economic and financial management in public sector (Good knowledge of Turkish economic policy making experience and financing of public sector projects) and extensive experience of working in and managing international projects and also managing international and local expert teams.
Ferhat Emil is a knowledgeable strategic and financial management professional with a wealth of practical experience across Turkey- Jordan/Tunisia/ Albania / Afghanistan central and local government sectors and NGOs.) He has managed a wide and very diverse range of projects including EU funded projects, UNDP ((including Local Administration Reform Projects i.e. LAR I and LAR II, LAR III implemented by UNDP on behalf of Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Environment and Urbanization). The list includes Nicholas Wittsen Foundation (Netherland) –EU-IPA Project (Strategic Management Project which involves Ministry of Development and 10 central government ministries about strategic planning, activity costing, linking plans and budgets
Ferhat Emil began his career at the Turkish Treasury in 1979 and took responsibility in a various positions including Deputy Undersecretary. He is currently lecturer at Bilkent University on public sector governance and performance management, public finance, (Turkish Budget System) history of Turkish and World Economy.
